The best surf occurs with a south swell and offshore winds from the north, typically during winter—especially in July—when clean, rideable waves are most consistent. The break receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, and its remote location means it rarely gets crowded. Surfers should be aware that sharks may pose a hazard at this spot.
