The North End stretch—a transition zone between Carolina Beach and Kure Beach—offers a subdued beach-break that performs best in fall, particularly October through November, when northeast and southeast groundswells arrive and northwest offshore winds help shape cleaner surf. Shifting sandbars produce peaky lefts and rights that tend to break best around low to mid tide. Crowd levels vary by swell: low during off-peak months, but busier when conditions align. Despite calmer looks, rip currents and shifting sand features can still pose risks.
