Tenth Street, located at the northern end of Carolina Beach, offers a mellow beach-break with manageable peaks that suit surfers across levels. It works best in fall, particularly October, when tropical and frontal swells provide the most consistent rideable waves, especially when paired with offshore winds. The bottom is composed of shifting sandbars, producing cleaner lefts and rights typically around low to mid tide. Lineups here remain relatively sparse compared to busier central spots, though surfers should remain alert for rip currents and sandbar shifts as swell intensifies.
