Bonnet Point in Rhode Island is a moderately exposed point break known for its left-breaking waves and inconsistent surf, with no strong seasonal pattern. The spot works best with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the north, while also enjoying some shelter from northeast winds. Swell here mainly comes from groundswells, and the wave holds through all tide stages. It can get crowded when it’s working. Hazards include rips and rocks. Winter, especially March, tends to offer the most reliable clean wave conditions.
