Los Bohíos in Puerto Rico is a fairly exposed beach break known for its very consistent waves, offering both left and right handers. It works best with a North-Northwest groundswell paired with an offshore Northwest wind, which provides some shelter from Northeast winds. It offers good surf at all stages of the tide and is unlikely to be too crowded. The main hazard is rips/undertow. The best time of year for consistent, clean waves is during the winter, particularly the month of January.
