Saintes Maries in Provence is a fairly exposed beach break, with autumn and winter offering the most reliable seasons for surf. It performs best with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the northwest, though waves are more likely to be generated by local windswells than distant groundswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach and is notably versatile, as it remains surfable at all stages of the tide. This location very rarely gets crowded, offering a quiet environment for a session even when the conditions are optimal.
