La Couronne in Côte d'Azur is a sheltered beach and reef break with inconsistent surf, making winter the most reliable season for finding rideable waves. It performs best with a south-southwest swell and offshore winds from the north-northwest, benefiting from some natural shelter against southwesterly winds. Waves are predominantly generated by local windswells, producing left-handers at the beach along with a distinct left-hand reef break. The spot is notably versatile, as the surf quality remains good at all stages of the tide. While it can offer high-quality sessions, it is sometimes crowded, and surfers should remain alert for submerged rocks.
