Praia Vitoria on Ilha Terceira in the Azores is a sheltered right-hand reef break with fairly consistent surf, especially in autumn and winter. It works best with north swells and offshore winds from the west, receiving both windswells and groundswells in equal measure. The break performs best around high tide and is rarely crowded. The best month to surf Praia Vitoria is January, when winter swells and offshore winds most reliably produce clean, rideable waves.
