Praia dos Moleiros is a fairly exposed beach break in the Algarve that has inconsistent waves, with winter being the favored time of year for surfing. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and performs best with a southwest swell combined with offshore winds from the north or northeast. The spot tends to be moderately frequented, providing a balance between a lively atmosphere and manageable crowds. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
