Praia do Norte in Ericeira is an exposed beach break known for its very consistent surf throughout the year. It handles both groundswells and windswells, with optimal conditions occurring under northwest to west swells and offshore winds from the east. The beach offers both left and right-hand waves, performing best around high tide. While it’s a popular and often crowded spot, surfers should be cautious of submerged rocks. The best sessions are typically during winter, particularly in December, when a west swell aligns with easterly offshore winds to produce clean, powerful waves.
