Praia do Marreco is an exposed beach break that offers consistent surf year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from windswells or groundswells) combined with offshore winds from the East. The break is surfable at all stages of the tide. The bottom is composed of sand with rock outcroppings on the beachfront. The spot is uncrowded. Surfers should be aware of rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
