Praia do Amado is a fairly exposed beach break in South Portugal that is usually a reliable spot and works year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a Northwest swell from a mix of groundswells and windswells combined with offshore winds from the East. The break's quality isn't affected by the tide. The spot is unlikely to be crowded, even when there are waves. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
