Praia da Vieirinha is a fairly exposed beach break in the Algarve that has inconsistent waves, with winter being the favored time of year for surfing. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and works best with a southwest swell combined with offshore winds from the north or northeast. The spot is generally uncrowded, providing a relaxed surfing environment. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
