Praia da Ursa is a fairly exposed beach break in the Algarve known for inconsistent waves, with winter being the favored time of year for surfing. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and performs best with a southwest swell combined with offshore winds from the north or northeast. Due to its remote and rugged location, the spot tends to be less crowded, appealing to more adventurous surfers. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
