Leca is an exposed beach break in North Portugal that usually has waves and can work year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from windswells or groundswells) combined with offshore winds from the East. The break's quality isn't affected by the tide. The spot is likely to be crowded if working, and surfers should be aware of crowds and pollution. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
