Apulia is an exposed beach break in North Portugal that offers quite consistent surf year-round, featuring right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a Northwest swell combined with offshore winds from the North. The break provides good surf at all stages of the tide. The bottom is sandy. The spot is generally unlikely to be crowded, but surfers should be aware of rocks and localism at the nearby Cavalos de Fão reef break. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
