Plage Valentin in Loire Atlantique is an exposed beach and reef break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the northeast. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer left-handers. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for rocks. The best conditions reported for surf at Plage Valentin occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Northeast. The best time of year for surfing Plage Valentin with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is during Spring and most often the month of March.
