Crossroads in North Otago is an exposed point break with fairly consistent surf that can work year-round. The best surf occurs with a south-southeast swell and offshore winds from the west, typically during winter—most often in June—when clean, rideable waves are most common. It receives a mix of groundswells and windswells and works best around low tide. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should beware of strong rips and rocks in the lineup.
