Short Beach in Oregon is an exposed beach break with consistent surf that works year-round, with the best conditions usually occurring in fall and winter, especially November through February. The spot receives a mix of windswells and groundswells, with the ideal swell direction from the northwest to west. Offshore winds from the east or northeast produce the cleanest waves. Short Beach is rarely crowded. Surfers should be cautious of hazards such as strong rips and cold water temperatures.
