Neakahine Point in North Oregon is an exposed reef and point break with unreliable waves and no clear seasonal pattern. It receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the ideal swell angle from the southwest. The best wind direction is from the east, offering some shelter from north winds. When conditions align, the spot can get crowded, with dangerous rips posing a hazard. Optimal surf conditions occur when a southwest swell combines with an east offshore wind. The most consistent and clean waves are typically found during winter, especially in January.
