Manzanita in North Oregon is an exposed beach break with reasonably consistent surf throughout the year, offering both left and right-hand waves. It receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the best swell direction coming from the northwest. Offshore winds from the east provide optimal conditions. The spot is rarely crowded but has hazards such as rips and rocks. The best surf conditions occur when a northwest swell combines with an east offshore wind. The most consistent and clean waves typically happen during winter, especially in January.
