Gleneden Beach in North Oregon is an exposed beach break with fairly consistent surf year-round, working well on both groundswells and windswells. The ideal swell direction is from the west, combined with offshore winds from the east. The beach offers both left- and right-breaking waves and is a fairly popular spot that can get crowded at times. Best conditions occur during winter—especially in January—when clean, rideable waves are most frequent. Surfers should be cautious of rip currents and occasional shark activity.
