Barview Jetty in North Oregon is an exposed beach and jetty break with fairly consistent surf year-round. It works well on both local windswells and distant groundswells, with the ideal swell direction coming from the northwest and offshore winds from the east. The break offers both left- and right-hand waves and is rarely crowded, even when the surf is up. Surfers should be cautious of rip currents and rocky areas. The best conditions for clean, rideable waves typically occur in winter, especially in January.
