Collioure in Languedoc-Roussillon is an exposed reef break that frequently remains flat during the summer months. It performs best with an east-southeast swell and offshore winds from the west, typically receiving local windswells, though groundswells do occasionally occur. Despite its classification, there is no distinct reef break here, and the spot is notably versatile, remaining surfable at all stages of the tide. Crowds are never a problem, offering a solitary experience, but surfers should remain cautious of rocks within the lineup. The most optimal conditions are reported when a primary east-southeast swell combines with offshore westerly winds.
