Mongrels in Aquitaine is a reasonably exposed beach break that offers reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves fueled by an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells; however, it is a location that is often crowded when the conditions are on. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with February being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
