Mimizan in Aquitaine is an exposed river and jetty break that offers reasonably consistent surf, remaining functional throughout the year. This spot produces both left and right-handers, receiving an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. One of its main draws is the lack of a crowd, as it very rarely gets busy in the water. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for finding consistent, clean waves.
