Boucau in La Côte Basque is an exposed beach break that offers quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot primarily produces left-hand peeling waves fueled by an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it provides consistent conditions, it can become quite crowded when the surf is up. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
