Anglet - Les Sables d'Or in La Côte Basque is an exposed beach break that offers pretty consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves fueled by an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while it remains surfable at all stages of the tide, it can get quite busy in the water when the surf is up. Visitors should remain cautious of hazards such as the nearby jetty, strong currents, heavy crowds, and localism. The best conditions occur when a West-southwest swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with February being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
