Local Knowledge
Scott Point (Northland) is an exposed beach and point break offering consistent left- and right-hand waves. The spot works best with groundswells from the west–northwest and offshore winds from the north–northeast. A southwest swell combined with a north–northeast wind produces ideal surf conditions. It’s surfable across all tide stages and rarely crowded, even during good swells. The most reliable period for clean, rideable waves is in summer, particularly around April.
