Sainte Adresse in Normandy is an exposed beach break with fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot tends to favor left-handers and is best surfed around high tide. While the waves are reliable, surfers should be aware that the water here is often polluted. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in February.
