It performs best with a west-northwest swell and offshore winds from the northeast, receiving an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. The waves here tend to peel to the left, and because the spot is rarely crowded, it offers a peaceful session when active. However, surfers should be cautious of man-made hazards like buoys and potential pollution. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during autumn, particularly in November.
