La Mondree in Normandy is an exposed beach break that works infrequently, with the summer months in particular often remaining flat. It performs best with a north groundswell and offshore winds from the south. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach, and due to its location, it is a secluded choice where crowds are never an issue. While the most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter season, May is noted as a particularly good month for rideable swell with light offshore winds.
