Fecamp in Normandy is an exposed beach break with reasonably consistent surf, though the summer months are typically flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the southwest, receiving an equal mix of windswells and groundswells. The spot primarily produces left-hand waves and is notably versatile, as it remains surfable at all stages of the tide. Surfers should be cautious of rocks in the lineup, which present a consistent hazard. Although the main season for consistent clean waves is winter, August is frequently reported as a top month for rideable swell with light offshore winds.
