Anse St Martin in Normandy is a sheltered beach break that offers quite reliable surf, though the summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a northwest swell and offshore winds from the south; notably, the spot also provides some shelter from westerly winds. The waves are generated by a mix of groundswells and windswells, offering both left and right-handers across the beach. Surfers should remain cautious, as rocks in the area present a consistent hazard. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in December.
