Onekaka in Nelson - Tasman Bay is an exposed beach break that tends to be flat during the summer months. The best conditions occur when an East-northeast windswell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Southwest, benefiting from a short fetch and some shelter from west winds. The beach break provides both left and right-handers and is able to handle light onshore winds. Crowds are never a problem here, making it a quiet spot for those seeking solitude.
