Lucy Vincent Beach on Martha’s Vineyard is a semi-exposed beach break that delivers quality surf during the fall hurricane season and winter nor’easters, with September through November providing the most reliable conditions. It works best on south to southeast swells paired with offshore winds from the north to northwest, and a rising mid tide often yields the best shape. Waves range from mellow, rolling shoulders to faster, more powerful sections during larger swells, making it suitable for a variety of boards and skill levels. While generally uncrowded, it can draw a small local crew when the surf is firing.
