Coast Guard Beach in Massachusetts is an exposed beach break with dependable surf year-round, receiving both windswells and groundswells. The ideal swell direction is from the southeast, and offshore winds from the west produce the best conditions. It breaks both left and right and is best surfed on a falling low tide. This spot can get crowded at times, and surfers should be cautious of rips and the occasional shark. The most reliable surf occurs in summer, especially during August.
