Local Knowledge
Stinky Bay in Jersey is an exposed reef break that offers fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. While it performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the east-northeast, it is also noted for working well when winds blow from the south. The spot features a left-hand reef break with no accompanying beach break and is best surfed around low tide. As a popular location, it is often crowded, and surfers must remain extremely cautious of submerged rocks. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the spring, particularly in April.
