Wimereux in Nord - Pas de Calais is a fairly exposed reef break with pretty consistent surf, although the summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west-southwest swell and offshore winds from the east-southeast, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The reef provides both left and right-handers, but the spot is often crowded and known for a degree of localism. Surfers should also be cautious of man-made hazards such as buoys. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in November.
