Playa de San Xurxo in Galicia is an exposed beach and point break that has very consistent surf and works all around the year. This scenic spot provides left-hand beach breaks and a left-hand point break driven by an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it provides some shelter from south winds, it can get crowded when conditions are prime. The best conditions reported for surf at Playa de San Xurxo occur when a West-northwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Southeast, and the best time of year for surfing with consistent clean waves is the month of December.
