Located at the foot of the iconic Monte Louro, this spot provides both left and right-hand A-frame waves primarily from groundswells; it is a pristine, virgin beach that is rarely crowded, even when conditions are optimal. The best conditions reported for surf at Louro occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Northeast, and the best time of year for surfing with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is the month of February.
