Playa de Baleo in Galicia is a sheltered beach break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. This natural enclave provides both left and right-hand waves driven primarily by powerful groundswells; while it performs best around low to mid tide and offers a more serene environment, it is unlikely to be too crowded even when the surf is up. The best conditions reported for surf at Playa de Baleo occur when a Northwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the Southeast, and the best time of year for surfing with consistent clean waves is the month of February.
