Playa de A Marosa in Galicia is a fairly exposed beach break that offers pretty consistent surf, particularly when other spots are struggling for size. This powerful beach break provides both left and right-handers driven by an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells; notably, it is surfable at all stages of the tide and very rarely gets crowded, though surfers must be extremely cautious of the dangerous rip currents. While the best conditions reported for surf occur when a North swell combines with an offshore wind from the East-southeast, the most consistent window for clean, rideable waves is during December.
