Flagler in North Florida is an exposed beach break known for its reliable surf year-round. It performs best with offshore winds from the southwest and primarily receives east-northeast groundswells. The waves can get crowded, especially when conditions align. Hazards include rips, undertow, localism, and man-made obstacles like buoys. The best surf is typically found when an east-northeast swell meets offshore winds from the southwest. Summer, particularly July, is the most consistent time for clean, rideable waves at Flagler.
