It performs optimally with a northeast swell combined with offshore winds from the west, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and is best surfed around low tide when the tide is rising. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should be aware of rips, sharks, and jellyfish.
