Punta Galea in Pais Vasco is a fairly exposed point/jetty break that offers fairly consistent surf, although it is frequently flat during the summer months. This spot produces waves from an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it is relatively uncrowded even on good days, visitors should remain cautious of hazards like submerged rocks and pollution. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South-southeast offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
