Playa de Gaztetape in Pais Vasco is a reasonably exposed beach break that usually has waves and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while it is best surfed around low tide, visitors should be mindful that it can get quite busy when the surf is up and requires caution due to rocks in the lineup. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with November being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
