Orrua in Pais Vasco is an exposed reef break that offers fairly consistent surf, with autumn and winter being the favored times of year for waves. This spot features a dedicated right-hand reef break fueled by an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while it is best surfed around low tide, visitors should be mindful that it is likely to be crowded when the surf is up and presents hazards such as rocks, rip currents, and pollution. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South-southeast offshore winds, with October being the most consistent month for clean waves.
