Rio Claro Rivermouth is an exposed point break in Golfo Dulce that has fairly consistent surf, offering a wave that peels to the left. The most favorable conditions are a South-Southwest groundswell with offshore winds from the North. The break works best around mid-tide to high tide. The bottom is composed of sand and rocks. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should be aware of urchins, rocks, and sharks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in May.
