Manuel Antonio is an exposed beach and point break in Golfo de Nicoya that offers quite reliable surf with both left and right-hand beach breaks. The most favorable conditions are a south groundswell combined with offshore winds from the east-northeast. The spot is unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is on, but surfers should be wary of dangerous rips. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in November.
